SleuthFest 2027 Registration Cancellation & Refund Policy

Conference dates begin March 18, 2027

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to floridamwa@gmail.com and are processed based on the date the written request is received.

1. 60 or more days before the conference (on or before January 17, 2027); Registrants who cancel on or before this date will receive a full refund of fees paid, less a $50 non-refundable cancellation fee to cover administrative and processing costs.

2. 59 to 30 days before the conference (January 18, 2027 – February 16, 2027); Registrants who cancel during this window will receive a refund of fifty percent (50%) of fees paid.

3. 29 days or fewer before the conference (February 17, 2027, through the final day of the conference); No refunds will be issued for cancellations made during this period, regardless of the reason for cancellation, except as provided in Section 4 below.

4. Discretionary Exceptions; The SleuthFest Conference Chair(s) retain sole discretion to authorize refunds outside of the above schedule in cases of extreme circumstances or serious documented health conditions affecting the registrant. Requests for a discretionary exception must be submitted in writing to floridamwa@gmail.com and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The Chair(s)’ decision is final.

5. General Terms

• All refunds will be issued to the original method of payment within 30 business days of approval.
• Refunds will not be issued for no-shows.
• SleuthFest reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the conference due to circumstances beyond its control (e.g., natural disaster, public health emergency).
